About Kidsradio
The KidsRadio project is aimed at children and young people between the ages of 10 and 15, who are given the opportunity to create their own radio show.
In various workshops, participants learn how a radio station works and how to prepare the content of their own radio show and then moderate it.
At the end of the workshop, the young participants go live on air with their own program. The purpose of radio work is to increase communication skills and stimulate creativity. Today’s communication technologies have a lasting social impact on the way we use the media.
Children and young people in particular are finding it increasingly difficult to filter and classify information correctly. KidsRadio, as a media educational concept, aims to improve skills in analyzing content and media.
The project gives participants the opportunity to fill their free time and cultural activities – even beyond the workshops – actively, meaningfully and with fun. The feeling of doing something meaningful strengthens self-esteem and therefore the will to overcome problems at school and training.
In addition to learning moderation (linguistic skills) and presentation, the goals of the project are, among other things, the conscious promotion of action skills and media skills.
